GIS Analyst/Intel Analyst

Overview

In a team setting, process, manipulate, and analyze open source data to extract knowledge or insights. The candidate will provide all-source, predictive intelligence assessments on military, political, and national security related issues. Analytic findings will be presented to the customer in written, finished intelligence products and briefings in support of the broader Intelligence Community and COCOMS.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor group of junior analyst in complete intelligence analysis and production life cycle.
Produce finished all-source intelligence products bridging open source intelligence, geospatial intelligence, signals intelligence, human intelligence, and imagery intelligence.
Conceptualize and coordinate with Technologists to apply innovative methodologies to discover trends in “Big Data” and produce predictive analytics.
Apply knowledge of community data sources and intelligence holdings to prepare and maintain situational awareness and order of battle.
Conduct in-depth research using classified and unclassified data sources to locate and analyze available intelligence in support of social media and Foundational Intelligence requirements.
 

Job Requirements

Must possess and can retain an active TS/SCI clearance.
Five + years of experience as an analyst in military intelligence, a civilian intelligence agency, government organization and/or B.A./B.S. in Geography, Political Science, History, or related field
Experienced in the various formats, styles, and techniques of all-source report writing and publication in accordance with community and agency standards
Strong communication and briefing skills; candidate must be able to present and deliver products to diverse audiences when necessary.
Experienced with the collection process and data structure, and all source analysis of at least one intelligence collection discipline (HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT or IMINT) including its requirements/tasking process, collection platforms and its POC’s within the community of interest preferred.
Experienced using a wide range of research and collection methods and analytical applications in order to support the all-source requirements and to develop advanced geospatial analytic assessments for the customer. Must be proficient in some of the following: TAC, M3, ArcGIS Suite, QGIS, Python, Analyst Notebook, Google Earth, and/or Palantir among other intelligence databases.
Travel throughout the continental U.S. on short trips to attend and present at conferences and analytic exchanges will be required
